Simpson is excited to announce that John Jennings will join as Senior Vice President, effective September 15, 2025, based in Naperville. John brings extensive global leadership experience in manufacturing, engineering, and operations, having led teams across China, Japan, Germany, and France.
In his new role, John will drive strategic initiatives to accelerate Simpson’s global sales growth, oversee product development, champion continuous improvement practices, shape global market strategies, and support technology transfer initiatives worldwide.
Most recently, John served as General Manager at MI Metals, where he led a full facility transformation, significantly improving safety, efficiency, and profitability. He also held senior leadership positions at Assurant, managing a 1,000-person logistics and repair facility, and at Middleby Corporation, overseeing a $175M facility and guiding product development for major global brands.
John holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Mercer University and an MBA from the University of Tennessee. He is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and trained in 8D and Root Cause Analysis. A proud veteran, John served in the U.S. Air Force and Tennessee Air National Guard as an Avionics Specialist, earning a Secret Security Clearance and serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Outside of work, John is deeply committed to community service and enjoys hiking, exploring new places, and spending time with his wife, Susan, and their daughter, Caroline.
