The Challenge
The stop block retrofit kit was designed to address customer reports of excessive stop block cylinder repairs due to premature failure of the cylinder rod and cylinder wall ruptures.
Simpson Solution
The original stop block cylinder has been upgraded with a larger cylinder to strengthen the design. An upgrade kit has been designed to completely replace the original cylinder design.
Conversion Kit
The stop block conversion kit replaces the original part and consists of:
- A new air cylinder (1-1/4″ Bore – 7/16″ Dia. Rod versus 3/4″ Bore – 1/4″ Dia. Rod) which is bracket mounted at both ends.
- Cylinder Mounting Block
- Stop Block
- Fasteners and Fittings required for installation
- Drawings and Instructions for installation
Installation requires removal of existing stop block assembly, drilling of new mounting holes and assembly of new components. Estimated time for completion – 1 hour.
