May 6-7, 2025, industry leaders and foundry professionals came together for an unforgettable two-day training event at the legendary Road America racetrack in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Hosted by Simpson, Saint-Gobain North America, Inductotherm Corp., Foseco, and MAGMA Foundry Technologies, Inc., the event was a powerful example of collaboration, education, and industry support.
With 21 foundries represented and over 50 attendees, the event brought together a broad cross-section of the metalcasting community for in-depth technical sessions, open dialogue, and practical solutions designed to address today’s most pressing foundry challenges.

Sessions from each of the five hosting companies provided valuable insights into gating and risering, melting, molding, sand cooling and reclamation, process control, and sustainability, helping attendees walk away with actionable knowledge they can put to work in their own facilities. Simpson’s Cory Ashburn presented on Sand Cooling, Monitizer® Data Systems, and Sand Reclamation. 

And of course, it wouldn’t be Road America without a little speed—attendees also had the chance to experience hot laps in Corvettes, adding a dose of adrenaline to two days focused on learning and connection.

This event was more than just training—it was proof of the impact made when foundries support foundries. From technical deep dives to Corvette hot laps, the experience reinforced the strength of an industry that grows stronger through collaboration and shared expertise.
