This accessory to the Digital Absolute Permmeter, Model No. 42105, tests the permeability of refractory coatings applied to cores and molds.
The permeability of an uncoated sand sample is first determined, then the coating can be applied and the new permeability can be measured. The result is the permeability of the coating.
