What is the best part of your role?
What I enjoy most is helping customers find practical solutions to improve their processes. Every foundry is different, so each conversation brings new challenges and opportunities to learn. I also appreciate the chance to connect with people from many different places and cultures—sharing ideas, solving problems together, and seeing firsthand how Simpson technologies make a difference. The travel and collaboration are rewarding parts of the job that keep every day interesting and meaningful.
What makes Simpson stand out in driving results for foundries?
Simpson stands out because of our long-standing reputation for quality, reliability, and performance. Foundries that are committed to producing high-quality castings choose Simpson because our equipment is engineered for consistency and durability. Beyond the machines themselves, we take a comprehensive approach—combining advanced technology, process expertise, and hands-on customer support to help each foundry achieve measurable improvements in efficiency, sand control, and overall productivity. Our focus has always been on building trusted partnerships that deliver lasting results.
What do you value most about the relationships/partnerships with our customers?
I truly value the loyalty of our long-term customers and the trust they continue to place in Simpson. Their ongoing confidence motivates us to keep improving and innovating. At the same time, I appreciate the vision and enthusiasm of new customers who see the potential in partnering with us. Each relationship—whether decades old or just beginning—represents collaboration, mutual growth, and a shared commitment to achieving better results together.
What’s your most memorable customer moment?
One of my most memorable moments was visiting a customer who wanted to replace their old muller. The project manager told me he had been with the company for 38 years—and their muller was already in operation when he started. It turned out to be a Simpson 55B Speedmullor from 1970, still running strong after more than six decades of service. Seeing firsthand how long our equipment continues to perform reliably was a powerful reminder of Simpson’s quality and legacy. Moments like that make me proud to represent a brand that truly stands the test of time.
If you could have a superpower to do your job better, what would it be and why?
If I could have a superpower, it would be the ability to predict the future of equipment efficiency and the useful life of spare parts. This would allow me to anticipate exactly what our customers need before they even place an order, ensuring the right parts are ready for next-day delivery. Having this insight would help minimize downtime, keep production running smoothly, and make our support even more proactive—helping our customers get the most out of their equipment every single day.
