The Transverse Core Box Accessory is used to make standard specimens for transverse strength testing using self-curing (air-set) sands.

Three, 3-cavity core boxes are inside the hard wood frame which makes a total of nine dog bone sand samples that can be molded simultaneously. AFS specimen dimensions are 8 in. x 1 in. x 1 in. and metric specimen dimensions are 22.4mm x 22.4mm x 175mm.
