Please join us in welcoming Mr. Tom Arenholz to Simpson as the Sr. Applications Engineer – Global OEM starting officially on Monday, April 24th. Tom will report to Andy Koch, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, and work closely with the global sales team to review opportunities developed by the outside global sales team and develop optimized solutions utilizing the full range of Simpson process technologies.
Tom has a Bachelor of Arts in Technology Management from the University of Norther Iowa. He comes to Simpson with over 13 years of foundry technical experience working and managing multiple large green sand systems at the John Deere Foundry in Waterloo, Iowa including systems with Simpson equipment and Savelli equipment. His most recent position was Senior Foundry ME. Prior to his foundry assignment he spent 15 months at John Deere Tractor and Cab Assembly plant in Waterloo. Tom has been very active in the American Foundry Society and currently serves on the AFS Green Sand Committee as First Past Chair. He also sits on the AFS Molding Division Executive Committee as an at large member.
Tom has been married to his wife, Andrea, for 16 years and they have three children. His son, Jaxon, is a Freshman in high school and is an avid swimmer. His daughter Kenley is in 6th grade and plays soccer and runs track. His youngest daughter Emersyn is in 2nd grade and loves to dance. Tom enjoys tinkering around the house and garage, any sort of construction activity that gives him an excuse to buy tools, cooking/grilling outdoors, and frequent trips to Menards. His family enjoys going to the family cabin in Clear Lake, IA where they fish, eat, and take rides on the boat.
