The first few months of 2018 have brought a renewed effort in training and development to Simpson Technologies. We believe in continuous improvement not only in our products, but in our people as well. To that end, we have recently launched “Simpson University” which allows employees to access technical training via the American Foundry Society’s e-learning platform. Employees can also access thousands of online courses via our new Linkedin Learning management system, with topics ranging from soft skills to more technical business skills, anytime and anywhere it is convenient for them.
In addition to e-learning, Simpson has also partnered with the Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center (IMEC) on various projects including Value Stream Mappings and our quest to become ISO9001:2015 certified, resulting in more efficient business processes. IMEC was also instrumental in Simpson’s introduction to WorkNet DuPage, an organization that provides workforce development solutions for employees and employers alike. WorkNet DuPage works specifically with employers to address skills gaps in your existing workforce and helps to boost productivity.
Our goal is to arm our most valuable asset – our employees – with access to cutting edge tools and information that will help us continue to be the best of the best.
