Bruce Dienst is President & Chief Executive Officer of Simpson Technologies Corporation in Aurora, IL USA and Managing Director of Simpson Technologies GmbH. Bruce is also on the board of directors of Simpson Technologies Corporation. He is the great-great-grandson of Simpson Technologies Corporation founder Peter L. Simpson. Bruce joined the company in June 1983 and became President in 1995 in the fifth generation of the family.

Bruce received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 1983 and his Master of Management degree from Northwestern University’s JL Kellogg Graduate School of Management in 1991.

Under Bruce’s leadership, Simpson has experienced significant growth – particularly in the global foundry industry – including acquisitions of the Dietert Automation product line from George Fischer Foundry Systems, Inc. in 1995, Beardsley & Piper LLC from Pettibone LLC in 1998, Gerosa sand testing facilities from Ing. R. Gerosa Srl 1999, Hartley Controls Corporation of Neenah Foundry

As President of the Casting Industry Suppliers Association from 1994-1995, President of the Foundry Education Foundation from 2004-2005, and President of the American Foundry Society from 2015-2016, Bruce has led numerous foundry industry organizations. He is the only person who has ever served as president of all three major American foundry organizations. In recognition of his service, Bruce received the 2000 Casting Industry Suppliers Association Award and a 2002 Commendation for Service to the American Foundry Society.

In addition to his involvement with the foundry industry, Bruce serves in the local community as a board member at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He is also Vice Chair of Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL.
